Everything was delicious. We ordered the Torta sandwich, something I'd never read before and was pleasantly surprised. It was HUGE and delicious .

I am new to Pickens (a few months), from Northern IL. I have tried to find replacements for all the restaurants I liked before. I tried most of the other Pickens Mexican Restaurants and, without hesitation, I can tell you that Pancho's Grill is the best. Great. I had their California Burrito (Beef tips, shrimp, chicken with fajita type veggies). It was excellent. It is a messy thing, and I had to eat it with a fork and knife, but really good. My wife had street tacos (steak, onion and cilantro) and Pancho's was happy to sub the corn tacos for flour. My wife said she thought they were great and she also liked their hot salsa. So there. Eat here. It is very good, and they got the order correct, which is a blessing these days.

We were coming home from a day of hiking and we were hungry. Pickens is on the way so we looked for Mexican, knowing the chips and salsa would bring immediate satisfaction, and we were more than happy about our choice. Walking in, there was a sign saying they had horchata, a milky cinnamon rice drink. I've never had it before but I'm now a fan. I loved it! They had several vegetarian options and I picked one that included an enchilada and chalupa with beans. The ingredients were all fresh and good. The best part for me was that the wraps were made of corn. (I am gluten free) Hubby always gets polo asado. He was thrilled that there were lots of grilled onions and the spices were right. The service was friendly and our waiter kept checking on us. The atmosphere was old (in an old shopping center) but it was kept clean. I don't usually review Mexican restaurants as they tend to all be 3-4 stars, and my expectations aren't too high, but there was enough pleasant surprises here to warrant a 5 star. I suspect this might become a regular habit after our hikes!

First time trying this place and I'll definitely be back. I got the chicken fajitas and they were the best ones I've had out of many Mexican restaurants. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients and the owner was very nice and welcoming to me.

We've been to Panchos II 3 times. Every time has been fantastic in both food and service. Once we even were treated with LIVE MUSIC - it was great! We've been when it was packed and not so full, but our service was stellar each time. The vegetarian fajitas were great, as are other selections from the vegetarian section. The bright aprons matched the cheerful disposition of the servers and the hosts/hostesses. I highly recommend if you are in the area and wanting great Mexican cuisine, to give them a shot!
